Principal Software System Architect

SITC is looking for a Principal Software System Architect to lead the design and architecture of Sindh’s core digital government platforms. You will define the technical vision, set engineering standards, and guide cross-functional teams in delivering scalable, secure, and citizen-centric systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and own the overall system architecture across SITC’s digital platforms
  • Lead architecture reviews, establish engineering best practices, and enforce standards
  • Collaborate with product, security, and infrastructure teams to deliver resilient systems
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and drive adoption of open, interoperable standards
  • Mentor senior engineers and build a high-performance architecture practice

Requirements

  • 12+ years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years in a senior architecture role
  • Deep expertise in distributed systems, microservices, API design, and cloud-native architecture
  • Strong understanding of security, data sovereignty, and compliance requirements in government contexts
  • Experience with large-scale public-sector or enterprise digital transformation programmes
  • Excellent communication skills — able to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Software System Architect

JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Overview
  • Responsible for designing the structural blueprints of SITC’s digital products & solutions.
  • You will translate complex business requirements into robust technical architectures, ensuring that
    all systems are modular, secure, and highly available.
  • You will work closely with the Principal Architect to enforce coding standards, select appropriate 
    technology stacks, and manage technical debt across various project lifecycles.
  • Tech: .NET Core, Node.js, MSSQL/NoSQL, API Gateway management, System Integration.

Qualifications & Experience

  • BS/MS in CS/IT, or equivalent.
  • 6+ years in software development and system design, specifically in high-transaction environments.
